I'm on my second coat on the Duster trunk lid. The first coat was thin, and I ended up sanding a lot of it off to get the imperfections of the old paint out. The second coat went on with zero bubbles, but it has severe orange peel. I'm thinking maybe it was too thick, because the first coat was smooth. Tonight I'll sand it smooth and try thinning the paint more for a third coat. I wet sanded the first coat
Both coats are/were unscratchable by fingernail after 12 hours. I tried chipping and digging a groove with my nail and I couldn't make a dent.
I'm painting the lid in my basement, about 60 - 65 degrees. I do run a dehumidifier pretty much full time.
