This is definitely one of the more interesting threads I've read in a while here. You have to hand it to him, he thought outside the box, and it seems to have paid off. The photo's don't lie, but only time will tell how the paint holds up. It's true there are no guarantee's, but for the amount of time and money spent it seemed worth the effort.

High density foam rollers are pretty amazing, I use them all the time around the house on wood and metal. I refinished my fridge pictured below with a roller and POR-15 engine enamal. I think it turned out pretty great and I didn't put half the effort he put into his car. Of course it doesn't sit out in the sun or rain, but it worked.
