The hotrodders link has to do with flat black. im not sure if those guys are spraying or rolling, and if they're sanding, but they are using a flat black..
Yeah I remember that RR (black widow or spider something) but he wanted an orange peel look IIRC. So I don't think he was sanding it.
I'm 9 pages in on the rodders board and they all appear to be shooting it, and having some striping problems with it drying too fast apparently.
I think I'll play with the Rustoleum flat black on my trunk lid this weekend... since I already bought it! I'll post some results in case anyone else is thinking along the same lines as I.
