I have a hypothetical question for you guys that have done it.

Earlier, someone said that the gloss doesn't seem to come back all the way after wetsanding. Someone also said that if you lay down a thin enough coat that you will get virtually no orange peel. If you were to do your 8 coats or whatever, then sand it really smooth, and then give it one final thin coat that lays down really smooth, and then go straight to polishing/buffing, how do you think it would turn out?

great but it would be much more work wetsanding at the end.

No, I mean if you do every step as you described earlier, but at the end after your final wetsand, you lay on one last really thin coat that lays really flat, and then polish/buff the last coat with out sanding. That way you maintain all the glossiness from the paint and add to it with the polish/buff. You know what I mean?

Thanks for the quick reply
