Seems like it should work. You could probably polish by hand but it would take a while. I had a 10" Ryobi but I took it back because it was too big for polishing out my rocker panels and spoiler.. I finally got the 6" yesterday and used it last night.. man, polishing really does bring out the shine. Even with all the polish residue on my test piece I can see reflections through it. I suppose I should clean it up a bit. I am going to test another polish today. It is like 5 times the cost of the Turtle Wax product
