What marks from wetsanding are you talking about? There shouldn't be anything much visible except the microscratches from the sandpaper, and that will polish out easily. If you see more than those, you need to sand the whole thing with a grit like 600-800 to get it smooth, then maybe a couple more coats before going to 1500.
