As long as the paint is nice and thin, there will be no roller marks. I think it also has to do with the fineness of the roller.

For my little test areas, I did it two ways- one was to thin each time, the other was to get a little sealed container that I mixed paint/min spirits into, then each time I added just a splash of mineral spirits to get it to the right consistency. I should start on my car in a few days, and I'll be using a small sealed container so I dont have to open the paint can each time..
