i've tried varsol, laquer thinner, but not acetone, i found mineral spirits work the best, i would think that acetone would "flash" the paint too quickly. mineral spirits seems to be the best and has alot of other uses like cleaning carbs, taking off overspray ect....
Does it work OK to mix up a batch of this mineral spirits and paint and then store it in a jar? So far I've been mixing each time to get the mixture right but I think I'll stick with 10-15% and put it in a jar if that would work, so I can have more consistent batches.
yes, thats fine, but u may have to add a bit more thinner like 2% when u use it next.
