Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the rubber hose connector a standard part and assembly on A-bodies? I agree with you CDW, the tank would for sure be an issue if it were in the trunk, but once it's outside why the issue? I guess it must be that short hose connector if it is indeed a stock item. Pardon, I'm just so bias when it comes to early B-bodies.
