The existing steering column mounting bracket wasn't going to work with the new column, so I made a simple clamp bracket using a clamp I already had and a piece of 1/4" steel flat stock. Probably overkill, but I might weld some small gussets on both sides of the clamp half. Or, if I don't like where it locates the column (too low), I may throw it away and start over.
