Thanks guys, but I'm really just a hack welder. I need to work on making consistently nice welds. I recently switched to .025 wire, and that has made a big improvement in the quality of my welds. Lots of practice has helped, too.
scratchnfotraction, no, I bought the ladder bar brackets. I was going to make my own, but when I saw that Applied Racing (ART), which is close to where I work, sells them for less than $10.00 a piece, I didn't see any benefit to making them.
And, just in case someone got the wrong idea, I bought the shock hoops, too. If I had access to a bender, I would have made them.
I picked up the final bits of hardware to make my anti-axle-windup ladder bar. The round thing is a flex joint, also known as a Johnny Joint. It will be welded to the front of the ladder bar.
