But that was with 40? year old materials, I would think today that would be less of an issue, and Passon runs a business that caters to customer driven demands, so if there really is enough demand, why not a 23 spline in the future?



Did you ever compare the size of the teeth on a 23 spline to an 18 spline gear? The thickness at the root of the tooth is much larger and less prone to failure.The diameter of the drive pinion is also able to take more abuse as well.
