I have all the same concerns. Drop a bunch of money on a startup solution and risk a lack of support. But, it's a perfect solution to the OD problem.
1 - Keeps ratios close 2 - Good shift quality 3 - Excellent rated torque capacity 4 - Completely integrated into the car without cutting 5 - Few pounds lighter than an 833 6 - Keeps a "stock" vibe except for the shifter knob showing a 5 speed!
To me it's the best solution by far and Passion had to make a huge commitment (risk) to move forward with this especially with all the trouble (grief) he has gone through. I'm not ready to buy one today but I sure want to buy one tomorrow when I'm at that stage. I'm really hoping for a breakthrough of some kind with availability. I just want both him and us to succeed.
