I usually search the internet far and wide to find pictures to include in my story, and one observation I thought was appropriate for Drag Week was Dan Smith's 79 Chrysler 300. Sunday tech, through Tuesday at Indy, it's difficult to find pictures of the late B-body anywhere as it was flying completely under the collective Drag Week radar. After the accident on the way to Wisconsin that left the passenger's fender shoved back 18 inches, there are ten times as many photos of the white beast available!

Dan's 11.51-115.6 at Great Lakes left him on the Street Machine Eliminator quick 32 bump spot after the three days, and the only car of the 32 over the 11.50 cut-off for no-bar cars.

Comparing the photo from the second checkpoint to those at the track the next day, it appears that Dan and his crew had spent a few hours in the parking lot of the motel messaging the front end back into working order.
