So how did Jims newest Daytona look?

Well, I thought Jim's new Daytona looked pretty darn good but it did turn out to be a source of some controversy. It was displayed in Mel Major's Mopar Survivors display which requires the cars to be mostly original paint. Jim told me the car was original paint but upon inspecting it, it quickly became obvious that the Daytona was wearing it's original tail stripe but had been repainted. At least the rear quarters had been repainted as there was a paint line butted up against the tail stripe. The doors and front clip may have been original paint as there were a lot of paint touchups but even tney may have been repainted. There was a pretty good little bang on the passenger's quarter panel too. The interior was pretty much immaculate, the engine compartment needed a little tidying up but was ALL original. The car came with the cool mag-style full wheel covers which were in the trunk. The car was displayed with the black steel wheels exposed. It had Firestone Wide Ovals up front and some snow tires out back. All in all, it was most definitely one amazing Daytona.
