I guess that the rumors were started because of the fact that most prototypes were destroyed, so it must have been assumed that this one met a similar fate. It's not like there are dozens of books saying this, just some of the ones I have. Remember the turbines? It is gut wrenching to watch the video of them being mercilously destroyed. Like everyone says: Never say never with Mopars.
