Dave, that was a COOL collection of old ads!!! It's amazing to go back in time with old ads.

Reed, ONE of the TWO original S&M Birds went to a guy who owned a dragstrip in Louisiana. He wrecked the car on his own track in the late '70's/early '80's and it is said that some "folks" in one of Louisiana's seedier neighborhoods own the remains. It has never been located though. The fate and whereabouts of the second S&M car are totally unknown.

As for the yellow Bird being crushed a year ago in Texas, Jeff, don't believe a word of it. I have great difficulty believing that without some sort of dated pictures. Even the stupidest of morons (especially someone who works at a junkyard) would know these cars are worth some bucks these days and it doesn't take more than a few minutes to remove or replace a wing. Sorry, that story just don't cut it.
