The lifter bores on the big block Mopar don't need bushing in most circumstances. I hear the small blocks have a lot more alignment issues and need bushing more often.

My block had a NF904 Ultradyne cam and now a Scott Brown cam with an agressive intake lobe. No problems at all, not bushed. So even if he said to bush it, that would be CYA in my opinion. The oversize lifter bores is another issue. If it is off, it needs to be bushed, if not, it doesn't!
