Inside joke... These two DW veterans are busting my chops because I'm working on my story, instead of wrenching on the cars!
Literally, the drive up was more exciting than the next day at MATS. I made 3 attempts at running the Belvedere, but it wouldn't upshift out of 1st under full throttle. Rod (Just-a-Dart) loaned me his jack and jackstands, and I tried adjusting the linkage, to no avail. More than 1 fellow racer offered to help me yank it and do an overnight rebuild or swap, but I'm not 25 anymore, and racing the street car at this event just wasn't that important to me!
