Phil,
These are the "proposed rules", with a final comfirmation due any day. Last year was won with a low 12 second average...expected to go nuts this coming year. We would like to just have fun make some friends and maybe get the old bucket of bolts in the tens...

MATCH BASH
•Match Bash is for retro-style doorslammers of the early ’60s. Body styles are restricted to ’28-’67 American cars and trucks, and Anglias. To qualify for this class, a car must have the appearance of an old-time Gasser, straight-axle, or altered-wheelbase car as agreed upon by the Drag Week tech committee. This includes a nose-high stance or solid front axle conversion, a drastically altered wheelbase, radiused rear-wheel openings, retro lettering, and period-correct wheels. Match Bash entries may not have a lowered stance, billet wheels, wheels more than 16 inches in diameter, modern graphics, or modern-looking scoops, spoilers, or wings. For approval prior to the event, send photos of the car to DragWeek@hotrod.com.
•The following are not allowed: A chassis fully constructed of round tubing, Lenco-type transmission, strut front suspension, fenderless configuration.
•The following are allowed: Fiberglass body components, engine setback, driver setback, rectangular tubing framerails.
•Must use American engine families from ’67-and-earlier model years. EFI may only be used on traditional stack-type injection manifolds or on traditional-appearing supercharger hats. The only power adder allowed is a non-screw-type roots supercharger.

Looks like my bucket of bolts would fit right in. Dave
