Hi Mr. A, We are not going to restore the recessed gully (weatherstrip area) of the trunk. The paint is like new in that particular area so there is no reason to mess with it. The trick will be to have a seamless blend with the new paint and the original finish. The glue cleaned up and looks very close to the way it probably did when it was applied. We used a solvent that removed the oxidized top surface of the glue. The results turned out undetectable. I will get a picture of that area and post it here as soon as it is finished. Thanks!
