I know one thing, if "I" were in a position of power (event organizer) "I" sure as poop wouldn't ask anybody to go through a tech procedure that I myself wouldn't go through. It's one thing to have a car in the race at all but to be number one qualifier and refuse tech is event organizer suicide. Not very sportsman like if you ask me.
