One pinhole anywhere in those 3 layers of plastic, and that car is toast. It was naive to think that the tomb would not have water in it. And, they obviously did a terrible job of sealing the lid around the edges.
The pics showing the Belv sitting in knee-deep water made me ill. They should have just parked it in the lobby of the city wall and roped off for 50 years.



Or built a room around it..(so it would keep some elusiveness) Great idea though..
And to even think that plastic held out any water (they probably just did it tarp style) that poor thing was totally submerged in water for probably 40 years.
