I think Cheeto did a little research into this. Fatman Fabricators offers a drop spindle for B-bodies. IIRC, it doesn't exactly work on a truck, so he contacted Fatman about making one that would, but the volume wasn't enough to justify.
But that was a while ago - I may not have my facts completely straight.
