85 Ram 4 Speed post got me to wondering.So I did a little research.It looks like there was a tie rod change,both inner and outer in 79.According to my parts book( which I just noticed only goes up to 90) 72-78 inner and outer tie rods are 7.44" long.In 79 both inner and outer tie rods went to 5.16" long.Also the stud got larger in 79.But this shouldnt dicourage anyone,its just a matter of finding the correct tie rod and sleeve combo.This book is a awesome tool. If anyone needs help finding the right parts let me know.Or just go look it up at your local parts store.
