I just got off the phone with Jerry Caro. Jeff had broke the pump in the trans yesterday. They replaced the pump and clutches today. He didnt make it in time for 1st or 2nd round. They were given a 3rd round today. This being the very first pass in this car he left on foot brake just above idle i was told and it shook the tires and ran 9.07 with 1.3ish 60foot. He'll get 2 more rounds tomorrow from what i heard so iam glad it took it easy on his first run in this car.

did the trans break in the trailer? I thought he made some runs yesterday. sounds like he was trying to save gas by leaving at an idle, at 17.00 a gallon I cant blame him
