Those 49's were in the low 3K pound range when new... IIRC.
No way that truck weighs more than 3500 is my guess.
Back in 99 my uncle Bob and I built a 48 GMC, started with a 9 foot bed truck, 6 cylinder truck , weighed 3300 when we started, when we finished . it was high 2900. My guess is ole Heavy is about 2900.
