Are you sure of that I hate anything GM but those heads Allen Johnson designed, makes and sell flat out work really well \ Any one on here have flow results on them and a BAE # 8 head ? If so please post them on here
481X's are a bit of heinz 57 with architecture from several brands including Oldsmobile, BBC and they even have hemi size main journals. The hemi really shines at very high RPM (10,500). Even Proline is selling a hemi now and advertises the hemi having a little more power potential than the 481X and they have only recently developed and started selling the hemi packages.
Regardless either platform has incredbile power potential these days.
