I said it is a contrived TV show, just like all of reality TV is. The racing is racing, but only allowing the cars and people in they want to achieve the goal they want. Which in this day and age as with most of TV seems to be falsely contrived drama to keep you watching.


That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that they pick people, cars and personalities that can have conflicts because it makes for better TV. No different than any of the other reality based shows. I would be genuinely shocked if the big money races were scripted. Monte mentioned none of them were fixed outcomes, all of the racing itself was legit. He was somebody I'll always believe.

What I have heard that can stack the outcome is that for races like Bristol, the 405 guys to test for days prior to everyone else on the no prep surface. That definitely gives them an advantage.
