Think about it folks. You are allowed to have a box with a computer inside of it that moniters RPM and TIME, and then controls the ignition timing, the shifter, the throttle stop, the trans brake solenoid, a 2-Step, and who knows what else. You don't have to be a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist to figure this out. NHRA and IHRA have to BAN these delay boxes and digital tachometers.

That's a real simple way to handle it. Just take it away, and make everyone that invested thousands of dollars into legal electronic delay boxes, ignition systems, recorders, ect. get rid of them. That's the same solution the NHRA would come up with, like , say......Oh I don't know....1000ft racing because they can't think of any way to mandate safer cars and shutdown areas. And loose fans, racers, sponsors, ect. Remember, alot of racers wouldn't race if they couldn't use delay boxes. They can't cut a light without it like many of the Pro guys. I would be in favor of it, if it weren't for the loss of racers in attendence. And it's a very simplistic answer to a problem that needs a more progressive remedy.
