One thing I've learned in all of this is that it's much easier to work on the engine/transmission/engine compartment with the drivers fender and hood hinge OFF!

I need to figure out what rear tires to go with. I really like the look of the pie-cut slicks but they're kinda pricey. Besides I like to drive my cars a LOT. Most of the D.O.T. street slicks have a modern tread design that doesn't look right on the old cars IMO.
