For the 9" leaf spring guys:

1) Does the backbrace interfere with shock mounting?

2) How do the u bolts work on a fab 9 housing in the case of a leaf spring application?

3) Can I just weld a Dana 60 cover to my fab 9 and hi five the purists when they check out the car?

I have been back and forth about the 9" vs Dana on my car, especially after having both. I made the mistake of not having the 9" back braced far enough the first time so that is on my list of things to consider. Also, the lack of sub 3.55 gears in the Dana 60 world really turned me off. My 5-speed has big 1-4 ratios so 1:1 can be used as OD with a 3.something gear which is what I need to get my SLR under 11.

I'm thinking it's a futile effort to try and run any type of limited slip with a heavy stick car and 700+ hp?
