Not a popular thought........but a Dana is a truck rear end. I don't care if it did come in some passenger cars, it was designed for a truck. I don't want a heavy truck rear end under my race car. Plus the 9" has all the aftermarket support in the world.
The question is a nodular case or aluminum? spool or wavetrac posi? wavetrac limits me to 35 spline.
spool 40 spline gun drill. Aluminum case🖒🖒..we did a back to back test with a 8.3/4.vs9 in a 69 dart that the 8.75 ring and pinion.would only last 100 pass before they would fracture💣💣... the 9-inch was only 400 slower.... the pinion on a 9 inch is much lower enabling the car to Be set up lower... 9in all day any day
