They reason the Dana is more popular than the Ford 9 inch is because this is a MOPAR site. LOL. I've had all three (8 3/4, Dana and Ford 9 inch) and currently have 2 Dana's and one 9 inch and I wish all three were 9 inches and may be someday. Build a nice 9 inch and don't look back. If I was starting from new I would probably at least order a fab housing and go from there but price it out for a complete unit and you may save money.
Heard it all and for me I'm using the 9 for parts availability and ease . Going to sell all my 83/4 parts to pay for it.
Dog-gone it. I have a couple of Duster length Dana's I may be selling. LOL
Really. I have TD 1.65 rockers for sale bran new for indy 360-2 and -1 new in box went W9 route.
