But what really saddens me - is SS/A is so far from what it started as - guess I am just old and liked the old days - expensive then but at least close to what came out of the factory - today ? Oh, I really do enjoy watching them but has it gotten out of hand ? I think so. And then after the "Shootout" it becomes a bracket race against cars they NEVER made - RW drive Cobalt with V8 and sheet metal manifolds? And then, as we all fear - the "sportsman" racer will be gone - replaced by a single day or maybe a two day event featuring TF-FC-and maybe P/S (bubble cars) -- our sport is going away and no one can stop the "progress".
