Dana is cheaper to have a extra set of gears for. Had 4.56 and 4.10 gears set up with separate shim packs for each. No expense for extra center section

I'm a lowly bracket racer. Our cars have been both 9.8-9.9 capable. Broke a couple 8.75 gears in the Mirada years ago (street gears), and on the trans brake we were twisting axles in the Duster. Changed both to D-60.....nothing so far in either car, just the way we like it.

My Mirada had an old truck rear so side bearing shims were required for set up. The Duster came from Dr. Diff so it may have the side adjusters so all i'll need for a gear swap is pinion depth shim, a spool, set of bearings, and gears and were good to go.
