It looks to me that this would be a good option for a light door car or RED. The Al center is too expensive for what you get and not as strong as Fe. You would be able to set-up (with spools) several different 3rd members for different tracks (1/8 and 1/4) and be money ahead over a single Al center. In an overall light car the weight difference between the two would be insignificant. For my heavy Ramcharger, I will stick with the Dana 60 that I can ignore.
