Moparts may in its most basic form be a message board to talk about mopars, but it has grown to be at least to me the embodyment of the Mopar hobby. In the old days, we knew the names Ronnie Sox, and Larry Shepherd and etc. from the magazines, and they were the ones that had the pulling power. They were the ones we read about and thought it would be cool to meet someday and B.S. with. Moparts has pushed those old names by the wayside and introduced a new group of names of people who are as one person noted, the new "heavy hitters." Some are known for what they know about mopars, others for thier character. Gary Davis was known for both.

Even though I never met Gary in person, I feel I know him through his many many posts here. In the old days if I heard a racing great passed away, I would be sad, and feel that the world lost a great racer. When I read that we lost Gary, it downright hurt.

Gary, you and your family will be in our prayers. Rest in Peace.
