Why would a shop refuse to do the work? You're getting paid to do a job.
If you're not breaking any laws by doing the work and you want to get paid why not do what the customer wants? They don't have to like the finished job, as long as the customer does.
It's his car, he can do anything he wants with it. Nobody else has to like it. If he wants it crushed into a cube and buried with him when he dies that's his choice. Would it be a smart decision? No, but it's still his property.
