When I bought mine it had a 77 truck motor with a bigger cam and better heads claimed to have been done by the McCandless shop. The motor ran well. I wanted to do a stock resto so found the correct hp block and had it done. In hindsight I should have put some more into the heads and maybe intake.. Now I want to buy a 67 gtx or rt with a stronger motor, swap them and sell the car. I shouldn't lose much as mine has less than 1k miles and looks great.
