Mine is a 2004 SLT 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 with the 8' bed that I bought new in 2005 as a leftover. Added the ARE cap & the stainless steps soon after I got it. About 6 years ago I decided to fix a few mechanical issues & get some rust repaired in the rear wheel wells. Also had to replace the tailgate & rear bumper due to rust. I wasn't planning to do this but when I priced a new truck I almost passed out. eek

I just recently started to get some rust in the bottom of the cab corners & in the rockers. Not sure how much longer I'd try to keep this truck going but it still runs great, has about 136,000 miles & is still very presentable considering it's pushing 20 years old. I'll have to see what my body shop wants to repair the newest rust areas, but whatever it is going to be it'll still cheaper than a new truck. work
