The chrome shifter knob vs. the wood grain is an early / late production. They used up the inventory at the factory of the 68 style chrome shifter knobs and then phased in the wood grain ones. Same goes for the Chrome Magnum 500 wheels and then phased in the 69 style Road Wheels with the trim rings.
I have never heard this about the wheels being 'phased' in before. do you have anything to support this ?
I'd have to see proof on the wheels too before believing this. The door buttons are a long known fact as are the shifter knobs. Ron
