<Wow that is amazing to me what these computerized mills are capable of...There is a lot of waste on those billet chunks though...I bet the local metal recycle center pays good for those grindings. >

There are a number of variable involved in how
much $$ Charlie might get back for his aluminum
chips. Yes he laid out $1000 for the block of
aluminum, but depending on the quality of the
aluminum he wants to use depends on if he needs
certs for the material or not. With out the metal
is cheaper to buy.

The scrap dealer pays by the pound and by the
qality of the chips, how clean vs oily.

Also pricing is based on how much weight of chips,
less than 100 lbs price is lower and so on.
