I get close to 500 passes a season. 2 classes every race and sat and sun if there is somewhere to go both days. I have made over 40 passes in one weekend more than once.

Also I have 2 cars with a Dana 60 and 1 with a ford 9". Both seem pretty tough. Seems like the Dana gears last longer. In fact the only one i have worked on in the last 4 years is the ford 9". Better knock on wood. And 12 bolt chevys are lucky to get 150 passes on a R+P. I may start keeping a log book on how many chevys and fords I see with dana 60s. I better get a fat book cause there are a whole bunch of them. And the dana weight??? The whole 25 to 30 lbs is right on the rear tires. The car will not know the differance. And yes there are alot of rustangs out there with small block chevys. I know of a couple smart guys that put big block mopars in rustangs also. I think the smartest ones, are the ones that keep the ford motors in them as they can be quite nasty.
