I'm doing this ( pic ). Many of my reasons for "switching gears" have been posted on this thread. Some of the main reasons for me are; one track in the general area and it is 1.5 hours away - and it aint exactly a flat lander trip. Track is overloaded with cars. Most the time you get only 2 time runs before eliminations. Once this year I went to T&T - track opened at 5PM and I was aloud to make a time run at 12.15 AM!! Did I mention I'm firing up 70 in 2 days. Due to the weather, there are a lot of night races. Often the eliminations start way after midnight - soooo far past my Jammie time it aint funny. My 33 Plymouth street rod will be a nice driver ( heat, A/C, etc. ) that I will be able to take to the track when the itch pops up.
