IMPORTANT: Parts Division replacement engines are supplied with blank engine number bosses only. Dealers are governed by state law on the application of engine numbers. In states where license fees are based on displacement or taxable horsepower, it will be necessary to change vehicle registration if the new replacement engine differs from the one it replaces.
