NO...fortunatly enough the original owner is still alive. I called him tonight to ask, again, what happened to the original motor....To the best of his memory, the block had a loud knock, and he seems to recall damage to the oil pan. Remember, he was in his early 20's and not really a mechanically inclined, just a young guy with a cool car he bought new. He took it back to the dealer and had it replaced. It wasn't much long after that, that he sold the car keeping it only one year.
