It is a camaro trans, '99 to be exact. I figure I'll have to build my own shift lever to get it forward and away from my hip. It might not be too bad though either. Right now I have a set of neon seats sitting in it. They were had for the right price (free) and have much better ergonomics than the factory seats. Eventually I'll get some nice aftermarket seats, but I can't see throwing money at something that doesn't get the car on the road faster. On to my point: the shifter feels like it's in about the right spot with where I have the seats sitting. The back of the transmission is still sitting a little bit high so it'll help once I let it down a bit. I expect that transmission won't last forever as it's only rated for around 400 ft lbs. Keep the pictures coming please, it gives me some drive to actually get to work on mine.
