Not really... if he will be running aftermarket heads that should
flow a fair bit more.. the cam has to coincide with the
flow.. and 7000 inst gonna cut it in a class type engine
to 318.... go ask any of those class racers what rpm they
turn

also... you dont want a 727.. a 904 is a better
trans for that application and if you really want
to go all out.. rollerise it... dyno the engine
so you know where the torque is for a conv.. it
wouldnt surprise me to see about 6000 stall

By formula I meant the overall basics, not following it exactly: massive cam (270+@.050 is gigantic in a 360, more so in a 318), very high stall, really deep gears, everything pretty extreme, etc.
