Goal is 10.50-10.70's in 1/4 mile. Have to be able to use 750 TQ. 8K was a guess on RPM,I was thinking 7500 actually.
Not interested in other combos..car will weigh in at 3300#.
I know it can be done,there are a few 318's running in NHRA GT classes.I know a roller cam is a must plus the usual mods..but the oiling system is what I am concerned with.
Drill out all the oil passages to the mains to
9/32.. I think thats the drill and blend the pump
so it flows better, use a high flow pump and .003/.003 on the clearances..dont use a heavy oil.. I like to set my oil
pressure at 18 psi on the end of a run at idle hot... a
goodvalve train is a must.. I use TD.. also I like to
turn down the crank counter weight and move the weight in
closer to the centerline... H-beam rods and light pistons
